The Anne Tanenbaum Centre for Jewish Studies is excited to announce that two of our ATCJS-affiliated professors have been awarded Canadian Jewish Literary Awards for their most recent publications. Professor David Novak (Department for the Study of Religion and former ATCJS Director) has won for his book, Athens and Jerusalem: God, Humans, and Nature (University of Toronto Press), in the “Scholarship” category.
Professor Tanhum Yoreh (School of the Environment) has won for his book, Waste Not: A Jewish Environmental Ethic (SUNY Press), in the “Jewish Thought and Culture” category. The ATCJS is proud to have launched both of these books at the Centre last year.
You can read more about this special honour on the Canadian Jewish Literary Awards website. Congratulations to Professor Novak and Professor Yoreh on this incredible accomplishment!
